Geopolymer and Low-Carbon Construction Materials Services

Our focus is on developing new materials and transforming industrial waste by-products into purpose-driven, commercially viable products

What We Do

Our Services

Reformix helps organisations develop, optimise and validate new products, materials and industrial processes. From early-stage concepts and laboratory investigations through to pilot trials, scale-up activities and deployment planning, we provide the technical expertise required to reduce uncertainty and accelerate commercial outcomes.

Our product range includes alternative cementitious feedstocks, alkali activators and precast concrete elements such as garden pavers, benches, planters and interlocking blocks - alongside additional precast options tailored to your project needs. We also provide technical services including custom mix designing for alternative binder and zero-cement geopolymer systems, raw material characterisation and composite testing to support your IP, product development and scale-up.

We specialise in advanced materials characterisation methods and engineering testing, evident from our work in geopolymer binders, supplementary cementitious materials, and other high-performance materials. By transforming industrial by-products, we drive circular economy solutions and advance sustainable construction.

Material Characterisation & Testing

We provide expert material characterisation and testing to monitor materials and products - ranging from chemical reactivity to specialist X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), aggregate particle packing and Electron Microscopy (SEM/EDS). We also provide assistance with fine-tuning Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC) processes and conduct life cycle assessments.

Cement, Concrete & Low-Carbon Binder Mix Designing

Cement chemistry is our specialty, whether for conventional composites or Low-Carbon ones. We transform industrial by-products into Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs) or zero-cement geopolymer binders, concretes and composites. Using precision mix designing, material analytics, and life cycle assessments, we develop high-performance, low-carbon materials with superior acid and fire resistance, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions and promoting climate-friendly construction.

Product & Process Development Consulting

Reformix helps organisations develop, optimise and validate new products, materials and industrial processes. From early-stage concepts and laboratory investigations through to pilot trials, scale-up activities and deployment planning, we provide the technical expertise required to reduce uncertainty and accelerate commercial outcomes.

Our specialist consulting can help you build and develop novel products and processes, identify sustainable and commercially alternative products, repurpose industrial by-products, refine QAQC processes and conduct life cycle assessments.

Commercialisation Support

Reformix supports organisations in transforming innovative materials, products and processes into commercially viable opportunities. From technical feasibility and validation through to scale-up and deployment, we help reduce risk and accelerate successful market adoption.

Commercialisation Support

Bridging Technical Innovation and Industrial Deployment

Developing a technology is only part of the journey. Reformix helps organisations evaluate, validate and commercialise new products, materials and processes by reducing technical uncertainty and supporting informed investment decisions. Our focus is on transforming promising concepts into commercially viable opportunities.

Before significant investment is made, it is critical to understand whether a technology can realistically succeed. Reformix assesses technical viability through material characterisation, performance validation, process evaluation and risk analysis, helping clients make informed decisions early.

Technical Feasibility Assessment

What Some of our Clients say:

"Ironstone Civil engaged Reformix Materials Group to support our R&D efforts in understanding and developing a specialist material system, and we were extremely pleased with the engagement. Hendrik and Ramon were professional, approachable and highly knowledgeable, with an ability to explain complex material science concepts in practical, easy-to-understand terms that greatly assisted our investigation and commercial decision-making.

Their team delivered everything within agreed timeframes and scope, and the intensive week of testing undertaken at our premises accelerated our program significantly in a way that would have been difficult for us to achieve internally. We found Reformix a valuable technical resource, easy to work with, and would gladly engage them again and recommend them to others."

Max Kudrenko (BEng, MEng) - Director, Ironstone Civil

"Ramon and Hendrik were among the pioneers of Colliecrete at Murdoch University.  They helped to develop a lot of the foundational knowledge that underpinned the team both in Collie and our Mudlark Geopolymer Lab on campus.

Ramon and Hendrik via Reformix performed advanced laboratory and analytical services and I have seen some of the highly technical reports they produced and these are excellent along with useful plain English descriptions enabling user friendly reports."

Dr. Martin Anda (BEng, PhD) -
Academic Chair of Environmental Engineering, Murdoch University

"As MD and founder of WA Kaolin Ltd, I have enjoyed productive interaction with Ramon and Hendrik of Reformix regarding the use of kaolin in geopolymers (green cement).

Both gentlemen have proven to be men of integrity fulfilling all agreed tasks with professional and accurate outcomes. I look forward to further and ongoing business relationship"
