The Significance of the South32 Collie Business Awards

While we are honoured by the recognition itself, what makes this achievement particularly meaningful is its connection to Collie and the region that helped shape our journey.

Many of Reformix's earliest ideas originated through work focused on Collie's industrial transition and the opportunities surrounding the repurposing of industrial by-products into valuable commercial resources. What began as university research into alternative cementitious materials and circular economy solutions has since evolved into a growing materials science, process engineering and technology commercialisation consultancy supporting clients across multiple industries.

Today, Reformix works with organisations across mining, construction, agriculture, environmental management and advanced materials sectors, helping clients better understand, optimise and commercialise complex materials, products and processes.

Where Reformix Stands Out

Being recognised in categories spanning innovation, sustainability and business excellence reflects the principles that continue to guide our work:

  • Solving technical problems through science and engineering

  • Creating value from underutilised resources

  • Supporting practical pathways toward sustainability

  • Developing technologies that can succeed beyond the laboratory

As a Western Australian company, we remain passionate about supporting regional industry, innovation and economic development. The Collie region continues to play an important role in demonstrating how industrial transformation can create new opportunities through technology, research and entrepreneurship.

We would like to sincerely thank the South32 Collie Business Awards organisers, sponsors and judging panel for the recognition, and congratulate all fellow finalists and award nominees.

Most importantly, we would like to thank our clients, collaborators, research partners, supporters and team members who have contributed to Reformix's journey so far.

We look forward to celebrating with the broader Collie business community at the 2026 South32 Collie Business Awards Gala Night and continuing to build innovative solutions that transform technical challenges into commercial opportunities.
