Dr. Phil Schneider
Chemical Engineering and Process Control
Phil Schneider is a Chemical Engineer with a wide range of skills and discipline knowledge. He is a trainer, research leader and a highly motivated advocate for engineering and STEM more broadly. Phil has deep experience in teaching, training and development of the next generation of chemical and process engineers.
Phil has significant hands-on experience in industrial R&D, applied to raw sugar production, coal preparation, light metals processing, water and wastewater treatment, nutrient and resource recovery from human generated waste streams. He has skills in process conceptualisation, process design, pilot plant design, commissioning and operation, process control and process optimisation. He applies his strength in process mathematical modelling and numerical analysis to minimise process design and operational risks that ensure process and environmental safety, while still making an economic return.
Phil has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Waterloo and a PhD in Industrial Advanced Process Control from the University of Queensland.
